Age-friendly design

A design approach that specifically addresses the perceptual, cognitive, and motor changes associated with aging, including larger fonts, simplified interfaces, reduced jargon, higher contrast, and minimized demands on working memory and perceptual speed. Research shows that age-friendly design is the critical mediator of technology adoption among older adults: perceived usability drives initial engagement, which builds proficiency, which in turn transforms attitudes toward technology.
